My thoughts on Precious

Precious, a movie about the life of an obese 16 year old girl physically and verbally abused by her mother, raped twice by her father is a very dramatic story about her progress in life and how she goes on in life after so much pain.

Her sadness / depression is very interesting, she is very quiet, but whenever she has to talk she does it loudly, she is full of hate however i felt confused in some parts, when precious looks at her photo album she sees a talking picture of her mother which is very positive and full of love, but her real mother hates her, i first thought her mother died and it was her aunt or something but it prooved to be her mother, which hated her so much because she kept thinking that it was Preciouses fault that he went away after raping her.

Life is hard. Life is short. Life is painful. Life is rich. Life is….Precious.

I didn’t fully like the part where precious got AIDS, i rather think they sneaked that in for the message thing, because i really think that after so many things that happened to her AIDS already sounded ridiculous overall the movie is huge, it sends you a big big message about the life of some, i really liked the movie, I would give it a 8 out of 10
